Laying the Foundation Prayer & Meditation
Lesson Summary
Welcome to your first prayer and meditation session from Module 1. Let's begin by finding a comfortable position, sitting or laying down.
Now, take a slow deep breath in through your nose, allowing your belly to expand instead of your chest. Then exhale through your mouth like a deep sigh. Repeat this one more time.
As you exhale this time, visualize releasing all pressure to be anywhere else other than being present in this moment. This moment symbolizes a new beginning of healing.
Imagine yourself in a wide-open field with a soft sky and gentle breeze, barefoot on the earth. Jesus is walking towards you, ready to guide you through this healing process.
- Jesus sees you without judgment, knowing what brought you here.
- He invites you to sit with Him, to look at your life with understanding, not criticism.
- Reflect on what has been too heavy for you to carry alone and allow your body and soul to respond.
- Receive the comforting words from Jesus with kindness and acceptance.
Let His words from Isaiah 40:29 and 46:4 speak into this moment, offering you strength and reassurance.
Recognize that you are not broken beyond repair, but a beloved child of God who is offered rest and restoration.
- Remind yourself that you are safe and in the presence of God.
- Accept that this journey is about being restored, not fixing yourself.
- Embrace the new beginning that Jesus offers you.
Come to terms with your past pace, pressure, and perfectionism, as you receive the invitation to rest and start anew in a holy foundation.
Complete the session by taking a deep breath and gradually returning to your surroundings, carrying with you the sense of a new beginning and the reminder that you are not alone in this journey.
